Submitting an article is a great way to get published!

Article Guidelines

(Please read all guidelines before submitting your article):

Size- articles be no more than two pages, typed (roughly under 1000  words).

Content- Suggestions for content include: an informational piece, a narrative, an interview, a book review or a how-to. If you are a business owner, articles may not be an ad and should not contain the business name, unless it is for the local business section of the magazine. Please email with any questions regarding this issue. If  you are interested in purchasing advertising, please see our media kit.

Format- Send articles as an attached document. Sending text in an email may work for some short articles, but many times it comes as read only text, and we cannot edit it. We recommend sending as a Word or Works document.

Photos- Photos make articles more interesting and make them stand out. All photos need to be sent as jpeg no less than 300dpi.

Bio- Include a 2-3 sentence bio and self photo (if possible) for the Contributor’s page.

•Deadlines- The deadlines for article submissions are as follows (you can email articles any time before the deadline dates):

Summer: May 10

Fall: August 10

Winter: November 10

Spring: February 10

•Article Consideration- Articles are submitted for consideration and will be accepted according to content and relevance to the issue.

We will choose articles for each issue and file others for future issues. Send yours soon to be considered for the next issue!
